Ethiopia's war-and poverty-ravaged capital, Addis Ababa, for many years has been the home of the Organization of African Unity. Ironically, Ethiopia itself is now struggling to reconcile the ideals of national unity with its historical ethnic diversity. Church leaders are concerned that the ethnic divisions being advocated by some may permeate the church and produce regional and tribal-based divisions in the body of Christ.
