Darrell Whiteman is Associate Professor of Cultural Anthropology in the E. Stanley Jones School of World Mission and Evangelism at Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky. From 1980 to 1984 he served under the United Methodist Church as a research anthropologist at the ecumenical melanesian Institute in Papua New Guinea.
