RECENT UPSURGE of interest in spirituality has affected those engaged in missionary work, so that the changes in the context and theology of missions have had revolutionary repercussions on missionaries in the field. Here I wish to examine missionary spirituality, stressing method more than content, and reviewing much of the literature on missionary spirituality in recent years, in order to suggest some direction for future development.
